Ecos de Junho

assistant and colourist – 2021-2022

During my involvement in the documentary “Ecos de Junho”, directed by journalist Paulo Markun and sociologist Angela Alonso and with the support of Rede Globo, Brazil’s main media group, I had the opportunity to be part of an ambitious and fascinating project that focused on the protests that shook Brazil in 2013 and their impact on the country’s political and institutional life.

My work on this project was extensive and included managing and organizing over 150 hours of footage, selecting and editing images and interviews with relevant personalities such as current Minister of Finance Fernando Haddad, Rede Globo‘s Director of Journalism Ali Kamel, and former Brazilian President Michel Temer.

In addition to the initial assembly, I also served as a colourist, performing color grading on the footage and using upscaling and noise reduction software such as Neat Video to improve low-quality images captured during the protests. It is worth noting that I partially carried out color correction in parallel with the assembly to ensure an efficient post-production process and meet the project’s established deadlines.

The final result was a highly impactful documentary that has been broadcasted on GloboPlay and continues to generate interest and debate in Brazilian society. Currently, it is available on the platform to be viewed at any time.
