Pandeiro é meu Nome
assistant and colourist – under development
Currently, I am working as an assistant editor on a documentary project called “Pandeiro é meu nome”, which focuses on the history and cultural importance of the pandeiro, one of the greatest cultural treasures of Brazil. The pandeiro is much more than a mere musical instrument; it is a symbol of Brazil’s cultural diversity and the richness of its popular music.
Throughout the documentary, viewers will have the opportunity to explore the history of the migration movement that took place in Brazil over the past 60 years and how it influenced the formation of the country’s cultural identity, all told through the lens of the pandeiro. As an assistant editor, my role is to help create an effective visual narrative that tells this unique and fascinating story.

Additionally, this project will feature the participation of Brazil’s top percussionists, who will offer a unique perspective on the history and importance of the pandeiro in Brazilian music. As the color correction supervisor later in the process, I hope to contribute to the project by creating a unique visual identity for the documentary.
