“Famoudou Konate – The King of Djembe” is a documentary that I had the honour of being a part of as a colourist and assistant. During my work on this project, my task was to enhance the quality of archival footage through restoration and upscaling techniques, which enabled me to ensure an optimal visual experience for the viewers.

This documentary is a fascinating work that offers a detailed exploration of the life, work, and musical philosophy of Guinean percussionist Famoudou Konate, considered one of the best in the world. Additionally, it has been selected to be presented at more than 10 film festivals such as IN-EDIT and DOC NYC, demonstrating the quality and relevance of this project.

Undoubtedly, “Famoudou Konate – The King of Djembe” is a masterpiece that lovers of African music and culture cannot miss, and I am proud to have contributed to the dissemination of the work of this great musician through my work.
